Our Installation Process
We’ve spent over ten years adjusting and fine tuning our techniques for installing commercial window film. We believe that by using the following method, we’re able to provide high quality results and a positive experience for our clients.
Step One: Your window film install begins with a brief consultation. We’ll visit you onsite to gain an understanding of your building and your goals for the project. During this time, we may also take measurements and start drafting a plan for the install. Then, we’ll schedule a start date for your project. We will do our best to find a time and date that’s convenient for you, even if that means returning at a time that’s outside of our usual office hours.
Step Two: We prepare for your appointment by cutting all the film in advance using a plotter. This helps to make the installation process faster and more efficient and reduces product waste. Then, we head out to your business and get to work. Once we arrive, we’ll clean the windows and apply C-Bond as a primer.* Then the film is applied to the primed glass.
Step Three: All that’s left to do is wrap things up! To finish the installation, we squeegee out all the excess C-Bond primer and clean up the edges of the glass. Then, we do a final check by inspecting all of the glass to ensure there are no flaws or defects. Once the adhesive sets, a process that usually takes about 24-72 hours, the installation is complete.**
**Please note, for projects that are not applied with C-Bond, it may take up to four weeks for the film to achieve full clarity and adhesion. In certain cases that involve well-shaded areas or interior rooms that lack sunlight, there can be adhesion problems when C-Bond is not used for the installation.
*This step does not apply to projects that do not involve C-Bond primer.
Why We Use C-Bond
C-Bond is one the high quality window film primers available on today’s market. C-Bond not only provides for a beautiful appearance, but it also strengthens the glass and film it’s applied to. C-Bond alters glass at the molecular level to make it more resistant to shattering. It offers our clients protection for their investment and gives them results that last longer.
The Benefits of Using C-Bond as a Primer
We believe that using C-Bond is the superior method for installing window film because it:
- Increases glass strength by at least 100%
- Prevents cracking from temperature differences
- Offers protection against hail, golf balls, and lawn mower rocks
- Accelerates the drying time for window film
- Improves window clarity during installation
